What’s new in MOPX

Every version since March 2025

• 21 March 2025: "MOB App" begins. A first version with a dashboard, an add-item screen, a stock list and a billing screen. Data was kept in simple app storage.
• 7–9 August 2026: MOPX 2.0.0, rebuilt. New name MOPX. A real database on the phone (SQLite), every bill saved all-or-nothing, stock changes recorded one by one, old data moved over automatically. New look with bottom tabs. Prepared for Google Play.
• September 2026: MOPX 2.1 to 2.4. Encrypted backup and restore, parked bills, purchases and suppliers, profit reports, split payments with change, credit with installments, units (kg, litre, pieces), CSV import, PDF receipts, Android printing and Bluetooth or network thermal printers.
• 19–20 September 2026: MOPX 2.5.0 to 2.5.2. Faster billing screen: search inside the bill, compact cart rows, "already in the bill" markers, Save that says what is missing, a smaller app.
• 8–11 October 2026: MOPX 2.6.0 to 2.6.2. Updates that install reliably and can be done from inside the app, automatic recovery of shop data after a crash or power cut, crash reports without shop data, Indian date order, Undo for removed items, printing fixes. 2.6.2 was the version on Google Play until 2.8.0.
• 15 October 2026: MOPX 2.7.0 (folded into 2.8.0, not published on its own). The whole app in Hindi, receipt search by number, customer, phone or amount, credit grouped by customer, the shop's UPI QR on the receipt screen.
• 16 October 2026: MOPX 2.8.0, on Google Play. More reliable start-up, bills save in a fixed number of steps (a 100-item bill in 0.1–0.4 s on a budget phone instead of 1.8–3.5 s), compressed automatic safety copies, an "80 mm (narrow)" paper width for more thermal printers. Tested on real phones in Firebase Test Lab.
• October 2026: MOPX 2.9.0, on Google Play. Returns, cancel and correct a bill, PIN lock for owner and workers, optional Google Drive backup, UPI QR with the bill amount filled in, category picker, Bluetooth LE printers and a compatible print mode.
