Q.01 Is MOPX free?
Yes. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases.
Q.02 Does it need internet?
No. Billing, stock and reports work offline. Internet is only used for app updates, anonymous crash reports if you leave them on, and Google Drive backup if you turn it on.
Q.03 Do I need a barcode scanner?
No. The phone’s camera is the scanner.
Q.04 What about products without a barcode?
Find them by name, or let MOPX create an in-store code you can print as a sticker.
Q.05 Can I sell loose items by weight?
Yes. Products can have units such as kg or litre, and quantities can be fractions, like 0.5 kg.
Q.06 Can I print receipts?
Yes: Android printing, or a Bluetooth or network ESC/POS thermal printer (58 or 80 mm). Sharing as PDF works on any phone.
Q.07 Does it take payments?
No. It records how the customer paid (cash, UPI, card or credit); the money moves outside the app.
Q.08 Can I import my product list?
Yes, from a CSV file. MOPX shows a preview before anything is added.
Q.09 Is MOPX a POS app?
Yes: a free POS (billing and stock) app for small shops in India, made for Android phones. It works offline.
Q.10 Where is my data? What if I change phones?
On your phone. Turn on Google Drive backup and restore on the new phone with the same Google account, or make an encrypted backup file and restore it with your password.
Q.11 Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. MOPX is for Android 7.0 and newer.
Q.12 Can I take returns?
Yes. Return items from any bill: MOPX first reduces what the customer owes, then shows the money to give back. Returned items can go back into stock.
Q.13 Can my worker use MOPX without seeing my profits?
Yes. Turn on PIN lock: the worker PIN opens billing, receipts, printing and collecting credit, and you choose what else.
Q.14 Is Google Drive backup required?
No. It is off until you connect it, and MOPX works fully without it. MOPX can see only the files it makes in your Drive.
Q.15 Does the UPI QR fill in the amount?
Yes. After a bill, the QR on the receipt screen carries the amount. Your customer scans and pays; the money goes straight to your bank.
